Here is another amazing session from our Beach Minis in Galveston, Tx. Everyone had something different in mind and everyone kept me on my toes. I think another reason why I like doing Mini Events without actually having a certain "theme" is because everyone keeps me on my toes. I have to think about what I will be doing in a split second. Obviously, we session plan and I do know who's coming etc. but you can never really know what you will be working with (as far as clothing, colors and props plus expectations) until the day of. I love a challenge and work best under pressure. The Cervantes family is yet another returning family. I photographed this beautiful family when their oldest son was a few months old or maybe a year. It was a long time ago so seeing them again made me so happy! It's like seeing old friends who you haven't seen in a while. This time around they have their TWO gorgeous boys and also, Toni wanted to include her Mother. I can't stress how wonderful it is to have portraits with Grandma or any other family member. Those portraits will always be priceless and their memories live on. Right before we ended their portrait session, the rain started so we got super lucky! The best part was the beautiful sky the storm brought in right before! Truly looked like a painting. One of the best moments about this sessions was that while we were capturing Toni with her boys, I hear her husband say "You look beautiful Babe" to his wife.. guys, talk about melting my heart! Made my heart full to be able to capture that little moment where this husband will forever feel that his wife looked beautiful!
I have to mention how extremely blessed I feel to be only minutes away from Galveston, Tx. While it may not be turquoise waters, the sound of the ocean, the seawall with all the cute shops and photo ops is completely a piece of Heaven. Usually, I do not travel this far out, but I am so glad that we did. I found a spot to do all the portraits and giving everyone something different although it was 20 minutes of shooting time. Another reason why I love the great outdoors!
