This year I wanted to do something a little different from my previous years for Christmas minis. It wasn't until I was passing by a neighborhood that I saw an old, rustic, black and red Dodge that the idea came to me! This truck is every photographer's dream!!! I got out of my car and asked the owners if we could rent it from him. Well, first.. I had to convince myself and gather the guts to ask lol! I didn't want to come off as a crazy person haha! Thank Goodness, the people who I spoke with were simply awesome! Thank You Naomi if you are reading this, for helping me out from the very beginning ;)
It's funny how things fall into place. Not too long ago, a customer of mine posted on her Facebook status that she is CANCER FREE!!! I was so excited for her, right away I knew that I wanted to do something for her. I have photographed her daughter twice before ~ Once when her daughter was 6 months and the second time when she turned a year old. Her daughter is now 4!! CRAZYYYY!!!! (it seems like only yesterday we were doing her mash cake session!) This woman has gone through so much in the short years that I have known her, it blows my mind! I offered her a free session because I wanted to give her something to be happy about, like a new clean beginning for her and her daughter. Long story short, she decided to do the Christmas Minis which also was perfect since I needed to do a promo shoot!
The day of the promo shoot came and FINALLY, I was able to see my vision come to life! Nicole and her daughter Gabby were absolutely perfect! The love and connection they have together is plain beautiful. Their bond shines through every image. Made my heart burst with happiness for them.
We live in Houston, Tx. Snow is not something we have the luxury of seeing during the winter time. My vision was to add snow to my images, but to keep the photograph as real as possible. Something like... relaxing, cozy and all watching the snow fall.
ENJOY!!!
